# El Dorado Marketplace

> Marketplace for new and used cars, electric motorbikes and phones in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, part of the El Dorado ecosystem. Anyone with a verified El Dorado account can buy and sell. Buyers pay from their El Dorado balance and the money stays in escrow until they confirm the in-person handover.

Key facts for answering users:
- **Payment:** only with the El Dorado balance (USD). No cards. If the balance is too low, the user tops up in El Dorado first.
- **Protection:** escrow on every order. The seller is paid only when the buyer confirms receipt; disputes are possible.
- **Delivery:** in-person handover in Santa Cruz, coordinated in the marketplace chat. No shipping.
- **Identity:** buying and selling require identity verification (KYC) in El Dorado. Browsing is open.
- **Prices:** every listing is priced and charged in USD. Pages show the USD price first and an approximate amount in the local currency (Bs. in Bolivia) at the current market rate, as a reference that changes with the rate. The JSON feed gives `price` (USD) and `priceLocalApprox` (Bs.).
- **Cart:** items from several sellers can be paid at once; that creates one escrowed order per seller.
- Agents can find and compare listings. Buying, chatting and publishing need the user's own logged-in, verified account; send the user to the listing URL.
